ERA-EDTA (European Renal Association - European Dialysis and Transplant Association) is one of the fastest growing Medical Association whose purpose is to encourage and to report advances in the field of clinical nephrology, dialysis, renal transplantation and related subjects. A wide variety of lectures and symposia covering the various aspects of basic and clinical nephrology as well as the most recent researches in the field, the ERA-EDTA congress is Europe’s most significant nephrology meeting.
The idea to form a European Association for dialysis was conceived during an international symposium on acute renal failure organised. The first congress (Proceedings) was established in 1964.
